Mold is a major process of industrial production equipments. Especially in the automotive industry, the mold is directly related with the development and production of auto production costs and efficiency.Study and exploiture of advanced foundry technique using good performance and cast -form manufacturability of ductile cast iron instead of forging die manufacturing large-scale stamping die will bridge a domestic gap and promote development of castings industry and die industry greatly. It has extensive long term potential in actual die production and it has important significance not only on novel material and new production exploiture but also on economic benefit.The alloyage of the ductile cast iron under the condition of EPC is studied in this article, which indicates that the input of alloying elements such as Cu, Sb change the graphite shape and improve the circularity of the graphite, increase the quantity of the graphite balls in the same time . The best efficiency appears under the condition of 0.02%Sb and 0.5%Cu alloyage and the graphite balls are small, round and the content pearlite increase in the matrix, so that the mechanical property increase greatly. The effect of Sb on the ductile is sufficient, for example. The ductile of alloys decease obviously due to the additions of 0.01% Sb.EPC technology has many advantages, and is a very recent forming technology. Compared with the conventional machining production methods, EPC own some obvious advantages, which can shorten the cycle of production efficiency and improve the quality of castings. Casting will be utilize numerical simulation techniques to EPC technology, advanced with heat transfer, fluid mechanics and metal solidification theories, based on the finite element analysis(FEA) techniques, database technology and visualization technology to EPC process simulation, visually show the fluid and temperature field in the filling, cooling and solidification process. In this paper, three-dimensional modeling software UG NX2 for modeling FAW MAZDA roof die and casting system, ProCAST casting software use for simulating EPC process. It is thoroughly discussed the vacuum quality, casting temperature and casting system, which can effect the EPC process and castingsquality, accurately predicted the casting location and severity, and draw up a successful EPC casting plan, combined with the actual casting process certification.
