The calcium carbide acetylene produces PVC may produce large amount of carbide slag slurry waste water, being a kind of strong alkaline,high suspension thing,sulfur-bearing waste water. The waste water is difficult to treat. The waste water's turn to discharge directly is able to bring about grave contaminating to the environment. At present, conventional treatment methods of the waste water is separated by the precipitation pool, The upper clean water part for out is handled as a result of cooling down returns to the procedure of production being used for acetylene , the others discharges by handling. The carbide slag depositing out applies to fields such as building material, chemical products, environmental protection etal.The carbide slag slurry waste water being discharged by De Yang City Jin Lu Corp. incorporated company is an object of study in this thesis. By researching and analyzing the treatment of carbide slag slurry waste water that project reality adopts, the improvement measure having suggested that to the scheme specifically for deficiency and hidden trouble there existing in the treatment.The researching and analyzing indicates the primal problem is the upper clean water of carbide slag slurry waste water being used for acetylene in time process without handling. This treatment of the upper clean water containing sulfides exists hidden trouble to the environment. Have contrasted with sulfur-bearing waste water treatment and be tied in project reality, choosing air catalyzing oxide fitting to handle the sulfides in the upper clean water. By the condition simulating, the working condition having tested, ascertaining the best being a handicraft's turn to have handled upper clean water: Use MnSO4 as catalyst, catalyst adding amounts is : catalyst (m): sulphur (m) =1:7; The reaction temperature is 35~45°C; Aeration amounts control processing 1L wastewater :0.6 L/min; Aeration time :5h. Under above-mentioned working condition, aeration time may satisfy that request right away above 2 hours.Study indicating, adding catalitic air oxidantprocess in original scheme, will have overcome the environment hidden trouble of upper clean water returning to use and carbide slag utilization completely. By analyzing the economy of the scheme, carbide slag slurry wastewater's treatment will make the cost of calcium carbide acetylene producing PVC reduce comparatively, produce the fairly good economic effect and environmental benefits.
