Starch is a kind of important industry materials,which is applied in food, chemical engineering,weave,medicine,and other industry.There are a lot of corporations to produce starch in China.The high concentration acid organic wastewater is produced in process of starch production,and its pollution is very severity.As far as treatment techniques of high concentration starch wastewater were concerned,biotreatment shows many virtues,such as high effect,economic,small of consume.Therefore,treatment of starch wastewater has attracted a great deal of attention.In this thesis,we had designed and manufactured a kind of simple and movable equipment,the "Anaerobic-aerobic Integrative Baffled bioreactor" for treatment of high concentration starch wastewater.Carrier is a key technique of biotreatment.Some organic and inorganic polymer materials are used as the carrier to fill in aerobic pond to support the growth of microorganisms.The removal efficiency of organic contamination in high concentration starch wastewater is investigated by the carriers.Surface structures of carrier before and after attached were analyzed by SEM.the thesis includes four chapters:Chapter 1:Biotreatment technique of starch wastewater and the study advance of carrier.On the base of summering the treatment technique of starch wastewater,the treatment technique of high concentration starch wastewater and application of carriers in the biotreatment wastewater were reviewed.Chapter 2:Effect of Latex carrier in biotreatment of high concentration starch wastewater.Latex materials as carriers are filled in the aerobic pond to support the growth of microorganisms.The bioreactor system was steadily operated more than three months, anaerobic pond self-immobility microorganisms and carrier in aerobic pond of immobility microorganisms has been studied.Based on Scanning Electronic Microscopy(SEM)photographs,it was observed that microorganisms congeries shape,size and microbe are different in aerobic pond and aerobic pond. Microorganisms degradation mechanism of aerobic and aerobic pond was discussed in starch wastewater treatment.The experiment results indicated that temperature was controlled between 18℃and 35℃.pH was between 5.0 and 8.5,COD concentrations of influent ranged from 1200 to 4500 mg/L.Ammonium nitrogen(NH3-N) concentrations varied 8.9-48.5 mg/L.The average COD concentrations of effluents were 154.3 mg/L.The maximum remove rate of COD was up to 98.0%.The average NH3-N concentration of effluents was 8.1 mg/L.The NH3-N average removal efficiency was 66.8%.Chapter 3:Effect of nut-coke carrier in biotreatment of high concentration starch wastewater.Inorganic polymers net-cokes are filled in the aerobic pond as microorganisms carrier during a period of more than three months of steady state operation.The results indicated that temperature was between 18℃and 35℃.pH varied from 5.0 to 8.5.COD concentrations of influent ranged from 1400 to 5000 mg/L.Ammonium nitrogen(NH3-N)concentrations varied at 15.2-51.3 mg/L.Average COD concentrations of effluents were 184.6 mg/L.The maximum remove rate of COD was 98.7%.The NH3-N average concentration of effluents was 9.6 mg/L.The NH3-N average removal efficiency was 64.0%.Chapter 4:Effect of cinder carrier in biotreatment of high concentration starch wastewater.inorganic polymers porous cinders are filled in the aerobic pond as microorganisms carrier.The bioreactor system was steadily operated more than one month.The results indicated that temperature was between 18℃and 35℃.pH varied from 5.0 to 8.5.COD concentrations of influent ranged from 1400 to 3000 mg/L. Ammonium nitrogen(NH3-N)concentrations were between 15.0 and 24.0 mg/L.The average COD concentrations of effluents were 160.4 mg/L.The maximum remove rate of COD was 96.4%.The NH3-N average concentration of effluents was 10.8 mg/L.The NH3-N average removal efficiency was 47.0%.In summary,"Anaerobic-aerobic Integrative Baffled bioreactor" was applied in treatment of high concentration potato starch wastewater.Three organic and inorganic polymer materials were used as the carder in aerobic pond for supporting the growth of microorganisms.It obtains different effects in treatment of potato starch wastewater.Due to the high biomass and activity of microorganisms on the carder of organic polymer latex carder,the treatment efficiency is superior to the other carriers in treatment of potato starch wastewater.Therefore,the water quality of effluent could attain discharge standard.
