Aiming at the questions that the car spring plank exists at present, we utilize the existing production which is about the deformation rule and the forming technology of magnesium alloy AZ31 and the experiment conditions of the precision forming research center, and further study the extrusion technology of magnesium alloy AZ31 spring plank and the structure and properties of product.Through numerical simulation of finite element method (FEM),the effect regularities of technology parameters and friction coefficients in the extrusion process are analyzed, and the effect of different deformation temperature and speed and friction on the equivalent strain, stress and extrusion force is discussed emphatically. A theory and technology sustain is supplied for optimizing extrusion forming technology of magnesium alloy spring plank.The simulation results show that the plastic deformation of magnesium alloy is sensitive to the deformation temperature, and the extrusion force is not sensitive to the deformation speed under stated extrusion speed, and the friction has a negative effect on the deformation. Through comprehensive analysis of extrusion process, we know that the best forming condition is at temperature 400℃and at deformation rate 10 mm/s. In the forming process, oil base graphite is selected as the lubricant which could diminish the effect of friction on deformation.Based on the above research, the extrusion technology and the mold structure are designed, and some forming new methods are adopted, and the experiment of extrusion technology is also carried out. According to the forming result, we know that the forming technology and the mold structure are designed feasibly. The magnesium alloy has very good fluid and low deformation resistance, the effect of fills is good, and there is no oxide and burn phenomenon. The product has good dimension accuracy and surface quality.The structure and properties of the extrusion product are analyzed. The defect of casting is eliminated completely, and the extrusion product has good mechanical properties. The study shows that magnesium alloy spring plank which is produced by extrusion forming has good quality and properties, could well satisfy the need of work, and achieves the anticipated goal.
