Squeeze casting is a formation technics combining with casting and forging. We can get high quality parts which have exquisite microstructure,good physics performance and smooth surface because the liquid metal is solidificated with the pressure . And this technics can be applicabled on both casting alloys and forging alloys, especially on aluminium alloys with thick wall. Now the aluminium alloys parts are manufactured most by die casting or forging,but they all have many disadvantages,and squeeze casting can improve some of the disadvantages. In our country the study on squeeze casting is few,but the factors effecting the quality of the squeeze casting parts is so many, and they have interaction between the factors , analyse in theory can hardly help the practical manufacture.This paper start with the questions which must be bursting to solved on CAD/CAE of squeeze casting, analyse the factors effecting the quality of the squeeze casting parts; according to the size and the technics plan of the manufactured parts, set up 3D grid models, compute the boundary conditions , simulate the the liquid flow in the process of filling mould for the rudder in squeeze casting. According to result,improve the technics plan, open a overflow on top right side of the rudder, and the latest simulation results show that: the gas is a very important factor which effecting the liquid flow; the converging point of the pressure flow and the reflect flow in the process of filling mould for the rudder in squeeze casting lies at the top right side of the part and here it goes with stirring liquid flow and gas.Comparing to the actual manufacture ,it is the right point that the defects often appear ,the latest simulation results are coincide with the actual manufacture .The study in this paper show that: with the help of the formation theory and the computer technique ,we can empolder technics in reason, shorten debugging cycles, reduce cost and risk, improve the quality of the pats ,and increase the competing ability.
