2Cr13 martensite stainless steel has many good properties, It is the typical material of turbine blade. But when 2Cr13 is used under ocean environment, the corrosive resistance of it is bad and difficult to meet corrosive resistance need. The raw materials of the experiment are the 2Cr13 stainless steel and the RE additive is the pure Ce. It smelted experimental steel with different contents of Ce by using 6 kg vacuum inductance furnace. It analysed RE residual quantity in the experimental steel and the effect of RE to 2Cr13 stainless steel's structure and inclusion by using optical microscope and SEM, at the same time it analysed the effect of RE to corrosive resistance of stainless steel by using accelerated corrosion test-periodic soak test and electrochemical test. With increasing the amount of RE additive, RE residual quantity in the experimental steel increased as well. RE had effect on inclusion's metamorphism and spheroidization, alumina inclusion and manganese sulfide inclusion were changed into diffused spherical or ellipsoidal CeAlO3,Ce2O2S, which played a role of refining the crystal grains. Under the same heat treating, RE had obvious effect on structure of experimental steel. Martensite of quenching structure got smaller and smaller, carbide of temper structure got more diffused, RE resulted in delaying of Martensite's decomposition and hindered carbide's aggregation and coarsening. Weight loss test soaking in 10 percent hydrochloric acid showed experimental steel added RE had slower corrosion rate than experimental steel not added RE. 3.5 percent sodium chloride solution corrosion test showed RE in the 2Cr13 stainless steel made experimental steel's polarized resistance of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy got greater, corrosive electric potential of polarization curve shuffled and corrosion current density reduced. Depending on study results above, it could conclude RE added to 2Cr13 martensite stainless steel improved corrosion resistance.
