The transition-metal complex oxides with spinel structure, as a kind of inorganic material which has wide application foreground, have not been studied deeply in respect of preparation and nature. we carried on the research of the making of FeMnCuO4,CoFe2O4,CuMnCrO4,FeNiCuO4 by the technique of combining sol-gel and SHS, and have verified the feasibility of new method by comparing with coprecipitation. The products have been researched by Infrared spectroscopy,ultraviolet spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.Also,we calculated and analysed the products by the methods of model chemistry .Finally, FeMnCuO4 was researched as pigment in the application of de-icing coating and TiO2/FeMnCuO4 composite photocatalyst.From the result , Not only the technique combining sol-gel and SHS can save energy and time largely and be more efficiency, but also the products have less mass and are more even and fine. We researched the influence of pH, the temperature of heat treating and the ratio between citric acid with total metal mole and on the property of the product. And we optimized the conditions of preparation of oxides, and then obtained the best technology parameters.The complex oxides were detected by Infrared spectroscopy,ultraviolet spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction ,shows their crystal type are spinel structure,the crystal structure are the cubic system with the unit cell parameters are 8.37×10-10m,8.38×10-10m,8.37×10-10m,8.38×10-10m and their absorbing light function is superior. FeMnCuO4 was selected as pigment. The results have shown that the coating proportion of pigment to solvent was 30%, It had a certain extent anti-icing ability within -20 0C~00C and the relative humidity of 80% in laboratory.It also had good adhesion and weatherability.Others,TiO2/FeMnCuO4 composite photocatalyst was studied,but obvious improving of photocatalysis activity was not be found in the experiments of degradation phenol.By employing the methods of model chemistry, and DFT calculation to calculate the energy of the same atom cis and trans spinel, we obtained the results that the trans-spinel has better stability. Using the same methods to calculate different model of the trans-spinel,and combined the infrared spectrum and ultraviolet-visible spectrum, we carried on the deep research of the structure and function of pigment.
