This paper, according to domestic and international data about the pharmaceutical wastewater treatment technologies, analyzed the classification, characteristics, treatment technologies and real projects of pharmaceutical wastewater, summarized the common ground of treatment technologies and put forward to the prospect of the novel treatment technologies of pharmaceutical wastewater. Based on the analysis of micro-electrolysis technology and anearobic reactor technology, The author carried out a combined process of "Micro-electrolysis—Anaerobic process" to treat the Paracetamol pharmaceutical wastewater, which have the advantages of high volume load, high anti-impact capability, operation stable and less residual sludge, etc.The result of the experiment indicated that the BOD/COD of the wastewater can be improved from 0.18 to 0.32, the CODCr removel rate was 25~30% by the micro-electrolysis process when the inflow CODCr was around 20000 mg/L, pH was about 4, HRT was 90 min, and Fe/C was 3:1. Without pretreatment, the CODCr removal rate increased slowly during the anaerobic process. But by the combined process of "Micro-electrolysis—Anaerobic process", the total CODCr removal rates up to about 94.0% in 20~24h, the outflow CODCr was cut down to 850~900 mg/L. It was indicated that the micro-electrolysis process was propitious to anaerobic treatment. The experiment result also indicated that the removal of Paracetamol was mostly based on electrochemistry corruption principle, and the Paracetamol molecule group for chromogenic radicle was destroyed under the function of new prodeced [H], Fe2+, -OH and etc. After the micro-eletrolysis process, the most absorb wavelengh excursed to shortwave in UV light extent. By anaerobic treatment, the absorb wavelengh was fallen distinctly, the contaminants were removed adequately.
