Polyacrylonitrile(PAN) fiber called "synthesized wools" is widely used in industrial and civil fields because of its excellent properties. But, PAN fiber has its own hydrophobe and isolation problem, which leads to a badly static phenomenon. On the other hand, people felt more and more significant in antibacterial fiber product these years. So, it is useful to research and develop antibacterial and antistatic PAN fiber. The objection of the article is to modify the PAN fiber by nano-powder and to prepare the antibacterial and antistatic fiber.The experiment has been used two inorganic nano-powder, nano-ZnO/Ag and nano-ATO. Nano-ZnO/Ag is an antibacterial agent. Nano-ZnO/Ag has antibacterial and antistatic properties. The other nano-powder is Nano-ATO which is a kind of electric powder. Its resistance is about 1~5Ω·cm. Nano-ATO has excellent electric property.PAN matrix(NaSCN) is a composite system among the polymer, salt and water. NaSCN solution is electrolyte solution, so when nano-powder dispersed in the salt solution, the nano-powder will reunite to congeries. Therefore, it is difficult for the nano-powder to disperse in PAN matrix(NaSCN). A method which adding modified nano-powder suspension into PAN matrix(NaSCN) was adapted.Firstly, choose an effective dispersant. Both Nano-ZnO/Ag and Nano-ATO used the PAM as the dispersant. We Confirmed the most effective experiment parameters by Orthogonal experiment, such as the content, molecular weight, dispersant quantity, PH, etc. Then do the experiment of suface modification of nano-powders by coupling agent.Secondly, the modified suspension solution was added into PAN matrix and prepare the nano-powder/PAN composite matrix. The parameters and process techniques were confirmed.Thirdly, we prepare the nano-powder/PAN composite fiber, and confirm the parameters and process techniques. The experiment proves that the nano-powder/PAN composite fiber has an excellent antibacterial properties. Sterilize rate is about 99%. And its antistatic property is also good, the resistance is about 10~8~10~9 after washing 20 times.
