After treating by TLP-GXEM anaerobic technology, the tapioca starchwastewater's COD value decreased from 22000~35000mg/L to 2000~3000mg/L, the removal rate is above 88%, and the BOD5/COD is about 0.6.GC-MS indicated that this wastewater is of better biodegradation. The purposeof this study is to find a new aerobic bio-treatment for tapioca wastewatereffluent without pollution after anaerobic bio-treatment.The experiments have studied the technical condition and substancedegradation dynamics about tapioca starch wastewater using the ICEAS reactortreatment. The results show that: the ICEAS technic decreases the COD massconcentration of the tapioca starch wastewater from 2000~3000mg/L to 200~300mg/L which is much according with the discharge of the wastewaterstandardⅡ(GB8978-1996). The technical conditions are as follows. Therestrictive aeration was employed in the technic is 0.375m3/h, the best waterinlet pH value 6.5~7.5. Base on the single factor experiment, orthonormalexperiments show the as following best technical conditions: the oxygen lacktime, aeration time and deposition time is 0.33h, 6h and 0.33h, respectively.Base on the previous technical condition, the remove rate of COD is more than90 percents; with the decrease of COD mass concentration, DO value have a regular change which is increase slowly at first, then decrease a little in themiddle of reaction, and increase largely at last. During the whole) experiment,the sludge is rich of bio-facies, such as Vorticellas and rotiferas which suggestthat the effluent of the tapioca starch wastewater is clear and the organic matteris moved away; and the sedimentation performance is very good, the SVI valueis about 60 ml/g.The dynamics of the ICEAS reactor for tapioca starch waster which havebeen treated by anaerobic method was studied under the the best technicalcondition. The results shows that: the rhythm of the dynamic is accord with thecorrected monod function under the normal temperature. The parameter of thedynamic mode is useful for the wastewater engineering practice. The result alsoshows the non-biodegradation value is 130mg/L which is aobut 6.3% of the totalorganic matter. The saturation constant is 3326 mg/L which is fit to thewastewater of higher COD loading rate; the most substance parity remove rateVmax is 0.3243h-1, which indicates that this technology is suitable for this type ofwastewater, and it is of better bioactive and higher degradation rate.Thisdynamic model is very significant to treat tapioca starch wastewater forengineering practices.
