| Recently, the materials with nanometer scale have attracted much interest owing to their potential application in catalytic, optoelectronic, medicine and biological applications. The properties of inorganic nanomaterials depend strongly on their morphologies, thus, the design and controlled synthesis of nano/micro- structures with different morphological configurations and size distribution on a large scale is very important from the viewpoint of both basic science and technology.Up to date, lots methods have been developed to fabricate nanomaterials, and in which the surfactant-assisted system is an ideal reaction medium to the synthesis of nanomaterials. A variety of nanomaterials with different morphologies and uniform size have been prepared successfully with this kind of system. PVP is an effective amphiphilic surfactant, which have broad application. In this paper,PVP as a structure guide reagent, combined with solvothermal route, BaWO4 flowers, shuttle-like and pin-like, pagoda-like PbWO4 have been successfully synthesized. The possible reaction mechanism is presumed and discussed. The influences of the concentration of PVP, pH value, reaction time and temperature on the morphology are discussed. After that, EDTA and CA as chelating ligand and capping reagent, ellipsoid-like, bundles rod-like, nanorod-like, dumbbell-like single crystalline BaCO3 and flowers, conglobation SrCO3 have been synthesized by the same PVP-assisted method, the experiment parameters, such as the concentration of PVP, pH value, the EDTA/Ba2 + ratio, reaction time and temperature were found to play significant role in determining the morphology. The products were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectra (IR). |
