Liu Xi River plays an important role in providing drinking water for Guangzhou City. The proposals of ensuring drinking water safety and pollution capability at Liu Xi River were suggested based on the analysis of total environment assessment in this area. The model of water quality control was set up and the relative parameters of fitness were tested by enough data. At last, the methods of how to improving water-quality were pointed out at the base of the above mathematical model.The drinking water standards were evaluated mainly at the water resource along Liu Xi River according to the concentrations of COD and NH3+-N. The feasibilities of water quality control in Liu Xi River were to concentrate the pollution resource at upriver or downriver, and reduce the amount of the pollution discharge.The present pollutions at Liu Xi River were surveyed, the rationality of water quality monitoring stations were evaluated to ensure the drinking water safety at this areas. At the same time, the proposal of water monitoring stations was put forward to improve the water monitoring quality. The above study will provide the useful scientific methods and technique guarantee for the water manage departments.
