The method of molten salt electro is important methodology in production of metals. In the industry of metallurgy, the optimization design of molten salt electrolysis cell is extreme important meaning. The metallurgical industry is one of the largest energy consuming industries, the molten salt electrolysis cell not only decrease energy consuming, but also decrease the cost and increase its market competition ability. Any improvement and reformation are based on the theory. The paper analyses the multiphase flow in the 3KA rare earth electrolysis cell and the 40KA natrium electrolysis cell by the method of numerical simulation.Firstly, the paper looks back and estimates some mathematical model about multiphase flow through referring to many documents .Then suitable mathematical model of multiphase flow is built through combining 3KA Nd electrolysis cell's production condition. In the Eular- Eular coordinate system, the velocity field is profoundly researched through choosing k ?εturbulent model. Anode gas and cathode metal have a significant impact for the velocity field in the electrolysis cell through analyzing the effect of single-phase and multiphase. The research shows that anode gas is electrolyte flow's major impetus in the two poles. The conclusion satisfies the condition of flow in the practical production and proposes different opinions which cathode metal influence on the velocity field in the electrolysis cell is not ignore. It does some makeup to research flow in the electrolysis cell.Secondly, the distribution of three-phase velocity field is calculated in the natrium electrolysis cell. Anode gas and cathode metal ascend along the two poles .because of big journey, anode gas and cathode metal results into the develop electrolyte flow. Through the analysis of the velocity filed, the paper discusses the open question which electrolyte flow of cathode pole has defaults and the top of cathode pole has spires. The spires result into material leaded back the electrolyte's surface. The paper proposes primary suggestions.Two electrolysis cells stand for the electrolysis cell whose cathode is not in the bottom. The study on the velocity field in the multiphase flow in the electrolysis cell is not only a reference to rebuilding the shape of the electrolysis cell and the electrode's borehole pattern, but also is the basis of studying the temperature field and the electromagnetism field in the electrolysis cell. Therefore, the analysis results can act as the theory foundation for the electrolysis cell's economization.
