This study was based on the foundation of The National Basic Research Program (973) of China (No. 2004CB418505), which named "The Ecological rehabilitation and formative mechanism study of the environmental pollution of northeast industrial area in China". The biosorption capability of Ambrosia trifida which is one invasion plant was tested to search a new biosorbent that is abundant and inexpensive. We expected Ambrosia trifida can remove the heavy metal of the polluted water. And it may be controlled to diffuse by this new way. At the same time, we had applied the single-cell technique by homogenate and technology of negative pressure cavitation to increase the biosorption capability of Ambrosia trifida. The results indicated the following:1) All of the root, stem, leaf and bud of Ambrosia trifida have higher biosorption capability for Cu2+. And the sequence of biosorption capability is: leaf>bud>stem>root.2) The homogenate system of Ambrosia trifida contained four kinds. And they are tissue conglomeration, cell conglomeration, sing-cell and anomalous conglomeration. The quantity of all kinds biosobent were calculated with blood counting chamber. The ratio of cell conglomeration and sing-cell were most when the homogenate time was 55s.3) The pilot-scale experiment of Cu2+ biosorption on Ambrosia trifida showed that: The Cu2+ adsorption on Ambrosia trifida was a fast process. And the adsorption ration almost remained constant after 40min. The adsorption ration and adsorption efficiency were 89.77%, and 3.59mg·g-1. When the ratio of Ambrosia trifida concentration to Cu2+ concentration is 25, The adsorption ration and adsorption efficiency were 89.91%, and 3.59mg·g-1. And the Cu2+ concentration of waste water reduced from 50 mg·L-1 to 0.045mg·L-1. It is more lower than national standards 1 mg·L-1.4) With analyzing the mass of Cu2+ ion were biosorptd and the concentration of Cu2+ ion in water, the characteristics of biosorption were accorded Langmuir isotherm equation model and the Freundlic isotherm equation model with the maximum adsorption amount 4.76 mg·g-1, it mean that the Cu2+ ion were biosorptd on the biosorption as single laye.5) To identify the possible sites of Cu2+ ion bonding to the biosorbent, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were obtained for the biosorbent before and after Cu2+ ion adsorption, The comparison of the chart of biosorbent which before biosorption an after biosorption indicated that mainly oxygen atoms in the alcohol groups were involved in Cu2+ ion adsorption. Adsorption also affected all the chemical bonds with nitrogen atoms and nitrogen atoms in the amine and amide groups in Ambrosia trifida were involved in Cu2+ ion adsorption. This study can explain the biosorpion feature of Cu2+ on Ambrosia trifida. And we had applied the single-cell technique by homogenate and technology of negative pressure cavitation to increase the biosorption capability of Ambrosia trifida. These showed Ambrosia trifida can be a new potential biosorbent. So all we done will establish a well foundation on a new biosorbent and resource utilization potency of invasive plant in future.
