As it has been known, that substituted phthalic acid is a good extended ligandbridge; moreover, phthalate transition metal supermolecule complexes have beenstudied recently because of their various intriguing topological structures, unusualphotoelectric effect but also because of their potential applications as new functionalmaterials in non-linear optics materia, superconductivity material, heterogeneouscatalysis. In this paper, the substituted phthalate supramolecule complexes abouttransition metal copper, cobalt, nickel and titanium have been designed, synthesized andcharacterized. The supramolecular forces were studied, the main research in this paperincludes:1. Four novel transition metals phthalate transition metal supermolecularcomplexes have synthesized with 3-nitrophthalic acid, 4-nitrophthalic acid and4-chlorphthalic acid as the ligand bridge, nitrogen heterocyclic ring ligand such asphilippines and 2,2'-dipyridyl as function ligands: Co2(C12H8N2)3(C8H3ClO4)2(H2O)5,Ni(C12H8N2)(C8H3ClO4)(H2O)4(CH3CH2OH)0.5, Cu2C36H30Cl2N4O12, Cu2C36H30N6O16;Structure of these complexes have also been characterized by IR, elemental analysis andSingle-crystal X-ray diffraction. These results are shown as follows: the foursupermolecular complexes are tertiary mixture. Each of the complexes exhibits athree-dimensional framework constructed through weak interactions especiallyintermolecular hydrogen bond, intramolecular hydrogen bond and C-H…(?)interactions.2. When the reaction mixture carried out under different conditions, such as time,pH value, proportion of titanocene dichloride and 5-nitrosalicylic acid in the presence oftransition ligand, acetylacetone, three titanocene complexes have been synthesized and anew tetranuclear titanium crystal which was obtained from ethanol in room temperature.These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR andSingle-crystal X-ray diffraction. Moreover we viewed the reaction through UV-vis online. These results show that, the phthalic acid substitution chlorine atom is easier thansubstituted nitrogen atom to prepaire this kind of complex.
