Triazole compounds have been found to show wide spread biological activities. Many of them have been developed and used as fungicides, plant growth regulators andmedicine. Triazole compounds have been the most important types of fungicides innitrogen heterocyclic compounds. Different structures of triazole compounds havedifferent biological activities, developing novel structural triazole compounds is theresearch focus at present. In this paper, the developing survey, action mechanism, structure-activityrelationship and biological activities of triazoles were reviewed. By use of the epoxidation, sixteen novel triazole compounds were designed and synthesized. The structures werelisted as follows:Their structures were confirmed by means of elemental analysis, ~1H NMR, IR, andMS. The spatial configurations were studied by X-ray determination (three single crystalsof these compounds were obtained). The results of premliminary biological tests showed that all of these compounds possess good antifungal and plant growth regulation activities. The relationship between the structure and the bioactivities were discussed. Compound 5apossess high fungicidal activity, which is nearly equal to the fungicidal activities ofdifenoconazole and tebuconazole, and it has the developing potential as the fungicide. In this paper, the synthetic technology of 2-chloro-4-(4-chlorophenoxy)acetophenone was also discussed. Various factors of influencing products' yields wereanalyzed, such as time, temperature, catalyst, solvent and the ratio of the input materials, and the better craft condition was obtained.
