The maximum density theory requires reasonable particle size distribution of components .Four different sizes of particles comes from oil well cement,glass microspheres, micro silicon as well as self-made special admixture are selected and special designed early strength activator is also optimized. Results show that comprehensive strength of cement stone, slurry stability and gas channelling prevention capability have been significantly improved. The early strength activator is also compatible with other conventional cement additives. The slurry density can be lowered to 1.20g/cm3,which obviously broaden slurry density range without deterioration to other performance. The resluts also shows that studied system overcomes the problem of rapidly decreased compressive strength of light cement stone. The improved light cement slurry system is suitable for low pressure and lost circulation formation, narrow pressure window formation and long section cementation operation. The field application also demonstated it will improve cement quality and prolong the oil well production life.
