Nanometer scale science and technology came forth and it pullulated so quickly that it now has spread almost to all fields, no exception of textile industry.Nano scale science and technology has formed abundant study fields: nanoelectronics, nanometer materials science, nanobiology, nanomechanics, nanoscopy, nanofabrication, etc.It unseals a new view for people, so as that the research and development of electrical conductive polymer fibers play a key role in expanding the applications of textile materials, pushing forward the development of textile technology. In this project, the paper reports on the deposition of nanostructured conductive coating onto textile materials using low temperature magnetron sputter coating. Polypropylene nonwovens were used as substrate materials. The conductive coatings of Cu film were prepared at various conditions. The electrical properties of the coated materials were analyzed and the surface morphology of the nanostructures on fiber surfaces was examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The best conditions of sputter coating were concluded based on the experimental analysis.
