Chemical solution deposition (CSD) is a kind of important methods which isextensively used in the fabrication of thin film. The thin film can possessspecifically shaped, sized and oriented when synthesized by chemical solutiondeposition (CSD). Chemical solution deposition (CSD) is the right method tosynthesize the highly volatile thin film in low temperature. The purpose of this paper is one-step synthesis crystallized molybdate inchemical solution. Then deposit the solution on the random substrate by spincoating using a rotating substrate. The calcium molybdate and barium molybdatethin films with different orientation were deposited on the substrates of singlecrystal silicon and glass chip. Further more in this paper we systematicallyresearched the synthesis technology of fabricating calcium molybdate and bariummolybdate. The characterization of the crystal structure, surface morphology andSurface component of the films was carried out. The influences of the solvent andthe anneal temperature on film fabrication were studied. The photoluminescenceproperties of the BaMoO4 and CaMoO4 films were measured at differenttemperature. The main conclusions with innovative significance acquired fromthe present work are as follows:1) We obtained a new chemical solution deposition (CSD) method whichcan one-step synthesize the aimed thin film, rooting from the idea ofchemical solution deposition (SCD). We can synthesize molybdate filmwith nearly no defect, single phase and good luminescent properties bythe modified chemical solution deposition (CSD). This method is promising applying in other material system.2) The crystallized molybdate thin film Was successful deposited on theSi(100) and the amorphous glass chip "substrates using the abovemethod. The film has only a tetragonal phase, without any otherimpurity phase. The grain size of the film is comparative homogeneousand the film is sooth and compact,3) The calcium molybdate and barium molybdate thin films can obtainpreferred orientation after proper heat treatment temperature. The polarof the Solution and the spatial location of the functional group candramatically affect the preferred orientation of the film.4) The photoluminescence properties of the CaMoO4 thin film from 12Kto room temperature were investigated. A broad green emission bandwith the maximum at approximate 540nm at low temperature andapproximate 530nm at room temperature was found, which agreed withthat measured from single crystal of CaMoO4. The decay time of thethin film was in the range of microsecond.5) A green emission band peaking at 518 nm was observed for theBaMoO4 thin films under ultraviolet excitation at 11 K, whichcoincided with that measured from BaMoO4 single crystal. Theluminescence band at room temperature was very weak under the sameexcitation.
