Arose and development of coal spontaneous combustion is seriously complexitied process of dynamic state, its substance is process of slowly voluntarily exothermic raisen temperature to ignition. the process has two cruxes:spontaneous producing heat and gradually accumulation heat.According to correlation theory direction of coal chemistry, organic chemistry and physical chemistry, this thesis analyses three step reaction model of coal-oxygen reaction and variety and characteristic of signal gases of coal spontaneous combustion, and advances selection principles of determination index of coal spontaneous combustion in coalmine fact.Adopting experiment of thermogravimetrc analysis for coal samples, determines law of quality of coal samples as temperature and time variation, and reaches 8 characteristic temperatures of coal spontaneous combustion process. Making use of oversize experimental apparatus of coal 15t, reaches relation of correspondence with signal gases of coal spontaneous combustion and characteristic temperatures, divides 9 temperature periods of all process with normal atmospheric temperature to more than ignition point temperature. According to signal gases, forecasting and determining coal spontaneous combustion extent.Making use of experimental device of adsorption and concentration for coal spontaneous combustion signal gases, analyses testing result of hydrocarbon signal gases that given off on different temperatoures condition of coal sample are concentrated and adsorpted both front and back, reaches adsorption and concentration law of hydrocarbon signal gases during the course coal spontaneous combustion, producing gas rate, and variaty relation of chain-alkane ratio after adsorption and concentration and coal temperature, defines early detection technique of signal gases of determination of coal spontaneous combustion extent, improves sensitivity of detection and precision of early forecast, modifies forecast foultiness of signal gases now available, and provides quantization basis of forecast in precise term for coal spontaneous combustion.Combining with coalmine fact, determines detection technique on fact of signal gases and determination technology of coal spontaneous combustion extent, sets up and perfects forecast signal system of coal spontaneous combustion, timely actually reflects dangerous extent of coal spontaneous combustion and the tide of variety, and directs work of extinguishing and preventing coal spontaneous combustion.
