Landfill leachate was organic waste water with high concentration which was generated from city refuse (sometimes containing percentage of industry off-fall) in landfill site.It was very harmful for groundwater and other public watershed. Landfill leachate disposal is a worldwide problem for human beings.This article studied the effects of operating conditions on biodegradation of landfill leachate using Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed Filtration reactor (UASBF)and combined SBR technology.The results were as follow:1. Analyzed the main pollutant and water characteristics of Da-xin sanitary landfill site in shenyang; calculated daily production of leachate of Da-xin sanitary landfill site by using annual average daily precipitation method in empirical formula and result was 205m3/d.2. The start-up pH was 6.8 and C:N:P was 300:5:1, controlled load with effluent regurgitant. Reactor load was 2.2 kg CODCr/m3·d at the 50th day, and there were granula sludge, 55% of COD was removed and start-up was completed.3. The formation of granular sludge was completed after running 150 days. The pH values were most above 6.8.The alkalinity of effluent was 1490-1920 mg/L, about 1490-1920 mg/L in reactor, VFA was 150~374 mg/L, removal rate of CODCr and ammonia nitrogen were above 65% and 55% respectively.4. It was confirmed that the best volume load was 10kg CODCr/m3·d, removal rate of CODCr was 71.5%, 57.5% of ammonia nitrogen, 64.8% of TP, 55% of SS and aero genesis volume was 24.6L/d.5. With compare test, determining that the best aerate mode was restriction aerate with velocity of 170L/h, water supplying time was 0.5h, 6h aerate, 1h sediment,0.5h draining and 1h standing. The whole cycle of operation was 9h with sludge concentration of 4-5g/L.6. Studied the combination technology of UASBF+ combined SBR. The whole removal rate of CODCr was 91%, and 93.2% of ammonia nitrogen, 92.4% of TP, 87% of SS, the effluent index met the second order of national leachate standard (GB16889-1997). 7. Studied the promotion of UASBF for biodegradability of leachate. The biodegradability parameterθwas increased by 0.012 averagely, and disposal efficiency was improved by 15% after anaerobic disposal.A conclusion could be made upon the data that the result was favorable to dispose landfill leachate with UASBF and combined SBR reactor, and it also lay down the foundation for further practice study.
