Nanometer TiO2 photocatalyst, as a new functional material for environmental protection, has been generally studied for about ten years. It can be used to treat waste water, kill bacteria and viruses, purify air and so on with extensive application prospect. However as a result of its dependent on ultraviolet radiation, catalyzing efficiency, and its life-span in TiO2 and other factors, it's application was limited.In this paper, using 1000 W xenon lamp as the stimulant sunlight resource,Zn2+-doped,Sn4+-doped and Zn2+/Sn4+-doped nanocrystalline TiO2 photocatalysts were prepared by Sol-Gel processes. The composition, microstructure and properties of the prepared TiO2 powder were characterized by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis and other moden test technology, moreover the factors influencing TiO2 photocatalystic properties were discussed.Results showed that TiO2 crystalline diameters were in the range of 10-15nm.According to analysis, doping Zinc has little influence on the transformation of anatase to rutile, doping Stannum can lower the transformation temperature from anatase to rutile. In addition, Ultraviolet absorbed by Zn /TiO2 was increased. Stannum's doping decreased the ultraviolet absorption which in the scope of 350-450nm was also improved, the red shift occoured. The Zn2+/Sn4+/TiO2 compositely doping 0.5%Zn and l%Sn have the highest photocatalytic activity .The effect enhanced 10% comparing with relatively pure TiO2 (America),and 14% comparing with relatively self-made pure TiO2.The photocatalyst doping 0.5%Zn and photocatalyst doping 5% Sn have an improvement of about 8% comparing with pure TiO2.
