Because of the nonlinear of liquid crystal and the discreteness of its parameters , The liquid crystal auto-changing shade welding now still has some drawbackswhich affects the quality of product seriously --the adjust of the shade number isnot accurate ,the time for response is not short enough and the total device dissipation is too high . As a result it is useful for solving the problems of the welding mask now and satisfying all the demand of labor protection in the welding industry better to carry out the research and development of the liquid crystal auto-changing shade welding mask .Also it has important actual significance and noticeable economic benefit.This article first introduces the current situation, the trend in development of the liquid crystal auto-changing shade welding and the problems exist in it now.Secondly, aiming at the nonlinear of liquid crystal and the discreteness of its parameters, the design of the system circuit in this article, first use singlechip as the core of the control circuit .By establishing the database of the parameters of liquid crystal of different batch , we have solved the problems of the nonlinear of liquid and hard to regulate the adjust of the shade number exactly .Thanks to the original changing shade control circuit, the time for response≤0.2ms.According to the regulation in《universal technical requirements for eye and face protectors》and《equipment for eye and face protection during welding operations》in our Country, we took part in and finished the design of the shell and the circuit of the face guard. The shell of the liquid crystal auto-changing shade welding is made of high-performance plastic which is high strength and without leaking light. In addition to, by adding fire retardant and other special components , it has meet to the demand of inflaming retarding and could bear the high and low temperature .For resistance to impact, besides of choosing lightweight and high strength material, we also consider more in the aspect of the mechanics and human engineering in the design of the structure .In order to insure the comfort for wearing , we make the inside and outside protection piece and the shell of the face guard to a camber shape ,it also enhances the ability of resistance to impact.The main research findings of this article is: through the research and development of the liquid crystal auto-changing shade welding, we have solved thebottleneck technology problems--the nonlinear of liquid crystal, the discretenessof its parameters and long response time , the successful design of it has enhanced the function of the complete device. With the development, it can do favor to change thecurrent situation--the low quality , the low level and the low price of theauto-changing shade welding. Besides, we can achieve the goal comprehensively--protect the welding workers' eyes and the skin of the face well, enhance the efficiency and the quality of the welding and the welding product's quality.
