Four recipes are determined by modifying the raw material in this paper. We prepare the refractory in burning zone of rotary cement kiln through different pressing and burning schedule and draw the following conclusion through detecting the physicochemical characteristics in the room temperature and high temperature, kiln coating adherence and erosion-resistance to clinker.1.Density of non-chromium refractory can be increased as pressure increasing for four recipes, optimal pressure for press machine is 1000t.2.The product added by iron hammer scale has better Combination property ,which is fired at 1600℃. And it is 1.23MPa of bond strength, 7.2MPa of high temperature bending strength, 9th of thermal shock test and the best erosion-resistance.3.The high-iron spinel product soluted by iron has better combination property ,which is fired at 1550℃. And it is 1.63MPa of bond strength, 6.8MPa of high temperature bending strength, 16th of thermal shock test and the best erosion-resistance.4. The magnesia product added hercynite has better combination property ,which is fired at 1600℃. And it is 1.46MPa of bond strength, 5.4MPa of high temperature bending strength and 10th of thermal shock test.5. The magnesia-chrome-alumina product added chrome concentrate has better combination property ,which is fired at 1650℃. And it is 1.50MPa of bond strength, 6.5MPa of high temperature bending strength and 12th of thermal shock test. The high-iron spinel product soluted by iron can replace the magesite-chrome brick for rotary cement kiln in burning zone, which can satisfy need and development of large- scale cement kiln.
