Anaerobic digestion technology enjoys increasingly extensive application in sewage treatment for the low energy requirements, operation cost, excess sludge production and can recycle the generate digestion.This study used Hybrid Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (HABR) to treat brewer wastewater. The content of the study include the manufacture of the reactor, the inoculation and acclimation of anaerobic sludge, the startup of HABR, the performance of HABR under different HRT, The performance of compartments in HABR,the effect of low temperatrur on HABR,the characteristic of sludge in the rector and studied the application forerground of HABR at last.The results of experiment showed that:1. HABR reactor indeed reflects the new ideas of multi-phase and process phases in anaerobic treatment. In the process of startup, the reactor automatically complete the separation of microbial and screening process, in every compartment of reactor, Domestication and Cultivation the microbial adapt to the conditions in different compartment embodied the characteristics of microbial in Baffled anaerobic reactor.2. The best HRT of rewery wastewater treatment is 18h~24h, the COD removal effecience up to 75%. When HRT is more than 18 h, more than 50 percent of COD was removed in the first compartment. When the HRT is less than 12 h, at the back of the compartment can have a prominent role under different HTR, the forth compartment have a low relative removal rates of COD, in brewery wastewater treatment, four compartment in the HABR is enough.3. Throughout the whole performance process, the effluent VFA concentration is high, pH changed little along the flow direction, with the degradation of organic compounds , alkalinity has been gradually declining, in brewer wastewater treatment is prone to over-acidification, and should be strictly monitored prevention and control.4. Temperature could influence removal effecience of HABR, but reducing temperature could influence removal effecience little before 25℃, and the removal rate of COD can be more than 75% , even if when the temperature drop to 25℃, the removal rate of COD can be more than 70%. But the removal effieieney would be bad when the temperature drop to 10℃, 60% more or less.5. HABR would produce little sludge and can obtain granulated active sludge which is difficult to drain form the reactor and can maintain high quantity of sludge.In the first and Second compartment,appeared some granulated active sludge and in the other three compartment have no granulated active sludge because of low organic loading. Sludge load is a key factor to granular sludge formation, the second is the hydraulic loading, and alkalinity of the impact is also very strong.6. HABR has low removal effecience of total nitrogen and total phosphorus, the effluent ammonia higher than the influent.7. Through the Contrast of ABR and HABR in the experiment, we can know that the HABR with the filled is better than ABR both in the starup phase and in the operational phase, and more stability.8. HABR is fit for treating wastewater in the village and towns because of its simple proeess, easy operating, and low investment than the other wastewater treatment tchnology.
