Research On The Mould Projects Scheduling Of The Resource Leveling

Balancing multiple resources is one of the most key problems in project scheduling under the constrained resources. It can reduce the projects cost and bring about considerable economic benefit by means of leveling the resources. In one milddle-scale enterprise for mould making as background this paper pays attention to the resources leveling problem in project scheduling, thus achieving the main results as follow. Firstly, this paper analyzes the existing problems in the enterprise and then briefly introduces the research state-of-the-art of the project scheduling and the resource leveling problems under the constrained resources. Secondly, a heuristic algorithm is used to solve this resource leveling problem approximately, After that, a case study is performed and application result has shown that the mathematical model and the solution algorithm is effective and practical. Thirdly, in order to satisfy the requirement of balancing the resources for multiple projects, this paper extends the heuristic algorithm for one project to the case of multiple projects. A case study is then performed and application result has shown that the algorithm is more effective than the traditional one. Finally, considering the actual demand of the mould enterprises, a computer system for the scheduling and control of mould project has been designed and developed by means of windows 2000 server as the development platform, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET as the developmentenvironment, C# as the development language, SQL Server2000 as database.
