Ventilators are one of the most important equipments for production and safety in mine, which take on heavy responsibilities of transmitting fresh air into mine normally, ensure production safety of mine and life safety under mine. It is necessary request that ventilators must work safely, reliably and efficiently. However, there may be some kinds of faults and potential troubles while ventilators work continuously long time because of complex and unexpected factors in working environment such as moist, dust and eroding and so on. It would influence safety production in mine badly if one of these faults happens. So it is necessary to monitor condition and warn fault when early when ventilators work. On the other hand, because ventilators in mine are usually high power, work continuously and consume a large of energy, their work performance should be test to avoid waist electric power and reduce working cost; their work efficiency should be attention so that work condition of ventilators could be adjusted in time in order to ensure ventilators work more efficiently. Besides, ventilators in mine are usually distributed to remote region, long-range monitoring and performance test are important for modern management of mine. With development of computer and industry Ethernet technology, long-range work condition monitoring, fault warning and performance testing for ventilators could be possible; especially technology of industry Ethernet could provide profound support to implement the functions above.According to trend of computer monitor system, based on network and data acquisition technology, a set of system is developed, which is used to condition monitor, fault warning and performance test for ventilators in mine, based on monitoring warning system of large equipments in mine as project background. The system adopted ring network structure based on industry Ethernet, established data acquisition system, collected condition data of ventilators, transferred these data to monitoring and warning center by network, and real time condition monitoring of ventilators are implemented. In order to detect potential fault, the method of"energy-fault"is suggested, which taked vibration signal of ventilators as analysis object, established fault diagnosis model with wavelet package and artificial neural network. Based on hardware of monitoring system, performance test software for ventilators is developed with VC. By adjust condition of ventilators, different work data of ventilators are collected, which are saved to attach database. The software could process these data and draw performance curve automatically in order to finish performance test of ventilators. Actual running result in Sitai Mine of Tomei Group show that the system could implement the function of condition monitoring, fault warning and performance test of ventilators well, and it ensured that ventilators work safely, reliably and efficiently.
