En vironmental pollution caused by sulphur dioxide is becoming more and more serious with the rapid development of economy and society, indeed,which has turned into social effects of pollution. Controlling the letting of sulphur dioxide is urgent. Electric power industry,especial the huge coal combustion power plant,develops very quickly. Therefore, environmental protection of electric power industry is serious. It can be seen that pollution in China is mainly caused by coal combustion. The main combustion is sulphur dioxide and dust. Now dust has been effectively controlled by the installed of ESP. The first problem is to solve the emission of sulphur dioxide in the environmental pollution of the electric power industry. Economy of all kinds of desulfurization technology in many contries is analyzed in this thesis,with the use of high sulphur content coal in Handan Thermal Power Plant , an effective project is made for Handan thermal power plant. Firstly, energy development and the advanced desulfurization technology are introduced in this thesis. Then design of Handan Thermal Power Plant and its character in its option, such as coal, water, equipment, original design, geography and ecology etc, are introduced.A project that suits the desulfurization of the 200MW unit in the Handan Thermal Power Plant is made after careful analysis and contrast. Feasibility, economy, social benefit and the improvement of desulfurization system are demonstrated in detail.At the same time, the suggestion on the improvement of system design and the enhancement of function management are put forward, combining the function practice of desulfurization setting in Handan Thermal Power Plant.The main study content of this thesis is to confim whether the operational value is or not in the scope of design guaranting value by analzing the trial datas of capability experimentation firstly. The trial datas indicate that the desulphurization capability of the flue gas system has attained favorable design effect, that the discharge concentration has arraived the design desire and actual environmental discharge standard and that the desulphurization setting has achieved nicer adaptability with the unit. In succession, the economic performance of Handan Thermal Power Plant before and after desulphurization is analyzed. Although the operational expense has increased after installing wet desulphurization setting, the charge of sulphur oxide has been descreased consumedly, so as to attain favorable environmental benefit.In order to enhance economic benefit ulteriorly when bring environmental benefit, some system-optimized masures are brought forward from reducing electricity expenditure behind this thesis, which has been proved to achieve nicer effect, that is, noceable electricity-economized benefit.
