With the rapid development of automobile industry, the draw technology of automobile panel forming has been paid more and more attention. BHF (binder holder force) is one of the important parameters in draw technology, and BHF technique has been the key point in panel forming study.Firstly, based on CAE theory, a 264 panel simulation model is built by CAE simulation Software. In order to confirm other parameters besides BHF, the multiple parameters of this model are estimated by One-Step-Solution and then validated by QuickSetup. Based on this model and these parameters, a constant BHF is simulated and its result is validated by a physical test.Secondly, based on this validated model, wave BHF (triangle-wave BHF and rectangle-wave BHF) parameters are simulated by a combined method (single-parameter-in -turn -optimization with orthogonal design) and the values of their wave crest and trough are optimized. As the single-parameter- optimization can provide realized parameters for orthogonal design, the combined method is quite helpful to both efficiency and precision. From the simulated results, how the constant BHF and the different wave BHF can influence the forming quality is compared. The reason why wave BHF affects stress-strain distribution discipline is also analyzed in Plastic Forming Theory.Finally, a 263 panel is applied to the same research method as the 264 panel BHF has been applied to. The law of different wave BHF affects, in 264 automobile panel simulative forming, is validated.Several conclusions are drawn in 264 and 263 automobile panel BHF research: the forming effect of triangle-wave BHF is better than that of rectangle-wave BHF; the forming effect of the wave BHF depends on its wave crest, trough, frequency, et al; the law that wave BHF affects drawing quality is applied to the same kind of automobile panels; a proper wave BHF can improve the limits of panel forming.
