As environmental protection standard is becoming strict gradually, most of electrostatic precipitators built under original standard can't meet the new demand, dust with higher resistance is produced because users burn a lot of low-sulfur coal, worsening the current status which accumulate the dust result to urge the electric precipitator to intensify raises the effect transformation the advancement. V-I characteristic and current density distribution are critical factors influencing dust removal efficiency of electrostatic precipitator. However, present experiments can only analyze some very project cut-and-dry and never study the whole law comprehensively and in depth. So, it has wide environmental benefit and economic benefit to develop the research on corona characteristic law synthetically and explore the effective way to improve electrostatic precipitator dust removal efficiency and expand application range.In this article, the pilot system in the air pollution controlling research lab of Xi'an University of Technology is taken as platform, V-I characteristic of 416 groups in common use is analyzed and researched, the simulation operating experiment on the 5 groups optimum disposing form of electrode is done, in addition, the original pilot system is reformed, the current density distribution is analyzed and tested further on the basis of V-I characteristic measuring. Reformed system is of complete function, wide adaptability, high testing precision, operating reliability and good repeatability; it provides hardware support to following study. The main conclusions of this text are as follows:(1)The combination of V-I characteristic test, current density distribution checkout and simulation operating experimental is a scientific way to examine disposing form of electrode of electrostatic precipitator synthetically;(2)All carried on the analysis to each kind with inter-electrode spacing the scope to obtain it more superior to match the pattern, this can provide the instruction for the electrode qualitatively; (3)The auxiliary electrode is only suitable for wider inter-electrode spacing, can make the density of electric current of the board distribute more even;(4)The data of V-I characteristic measuring are analyzed quantitatively and fit, quantitative data and fit function can offer direct instruction to design and select actual type of electrostatic precipitator;(5)Combining the geographical information system (GIS) and statistics knowledge, a large number of data obtained from the density of electric current testing is analyzed synthetically, inherent law of current density distribution and main factors influencing distribute characteristic are explored, the inherent relation of them is analyzed, better disposing form of electrode and parameter adjusting range are obtained finally.
