Low cycle fatigue capability of the cast aluminum alloys ZL101 were studied. The experiment indicates, after being mixed into minim stibium(0.10%~0.25%), low cycle fatigue capability of the cast aluminum alloys ZL101 was improved. It includes: fatigue life of the material was much improved; tensile properties were toned; fatigue crack expand speed was descended obviously, and the expand condition changed from unsteady to steady; fracture toughness KIC was improved.The low cycle fatigue fracture crack of alloy occurs in the place of eutectic fracture.However,because silicon granules became thinner and the space between of the second branch crystal ofαapparatus minished .These baffled eutectic silicon fracture and crack expand, so the low cycle fatigue capability of the alloy was improved notbaily.
