Researches on multi-pollutants control technologies and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) in coal-fired power plants are introduced in this paper, including their developments and applications in environmental pollutants control. The principles of AOPs are described in details. Experiments on desulfurization and denitrification using UV/H2O2 system are carried out to learn about the effects of varing factors on the results. A metalic catalyst is added in scrubbering solution to improve the production of·OH. The byproducts resulting from the reactions are also analyzed in the paper to make sure the matters are in accordance with the mass conservation law. The best conditions of the experiment are achieved at last. The work can be regarded as the reference of the future multi-pollutants control.
