The welding is one kind of important material processing craft, It is applied in each department of national economy widely. But the overwhelming majority welding process all can engender complex welding residual stress, crack, blow hole and so on in the work piece, It is one of the welds domain widespread attention and important research topics to eliminate welding stress and reduce welding crack. Automation and intelligence of welding Process become more and more popular in welding technologies. Welding with trailing peening equipment can actualize real time hammering treatment to welding seam and the metal that close to welding seam in the course of welding, in order to dispel residual stress, meliorate the structure of welding improve the quality of welding.Nowadays the system is able to hammer at the moment according to the concrete welding. But can not give the effective and independent regulation on peening frequency and peening force against different materials. And the effects of poor man-machine interaction, at the same time, the optimal parameters need a lot of experiments, a significant amount of manpower and material resources. Tailoring those problems, a suit of control system that takes the single-chip as the core is researched, with the use of ANSYS computing simulation results of welding with trailing peening temperature and stress field, control the peening. So that peening frequency, peening force and the peening position of the electromagnetic hammer can be continuously adjusted according to the parameters of welding temperature changes, implement the purpose of the automation of welding with trailing peening.Universality and kinds of anti-interference measures were considered when designing the control circuit. The following is the process. First, the temperature and stress was analyzed by ANSYS, for determining the best time to provide reliable peening temperature parameters. And achieve better peening parameters database through experiment. And can intelligent call parameters against different materials, and the AT89C52 single-chip is control system core, Through the man-machine interaction system which consisted of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and keyboards, we can select peening parameters, such as the peening frequency , peening force, peening temperature and so on. Furthermore the select able extent of each parameter is given according to varies welding technology. Acquired the temperature in real time through the picking up the temperature unit, then the information is transmitted to the single-chip and compared to the setting value. When the values are the same, through the DA outputs adjust and control the peening parameters, and make them on the setting values. The system is organized of keyboard and displaying control unit, picking up the temperature unit, peening parameter control unit and so on. The C language is used to program the software system. At the same time, in order to protect system form strong noise, arc and electromagnetism interference, the interference in system was analyzed from software and hardware aspect by uniting with practical situation.Through the improvement of welding with trailing peening design, the system have the better visible platform, the system also has the functions that setting the welding regular parameters and displaying. It can be achieved that the electromagnetic hammer has the real time adjustment and accurate control of peening frequency, peening force and hammer position according to the changes of database parameters. To be effective in hammering pieces of welding, to reduce and eliminate welding residual stress and avoid the purpose of welding cracks. The system has the strong capability of anti-interference, the traits of high efficient, high-speed dynamic response and so on. It can well satisfy the demand of welding with trailing peening process's intelligence control.
