Cast steel and cast iron, as the two most applied material, play a very important action in the region of industry, agriculture, national defense and science and technology. Along with social's progressive development, quality is required to become increasingly high. Sand casting process and metal mold casting, as the traditional processing technology in the region of steel and iron, expose a series of problem. This article selects contact system steel casting' industrial production, choose forge casting as its production process, studies steel-cast's forge casting processing as well as forge casting mould project design. The technique was studied systemically through experiments and theories in the following aspects, control of the quality in the contact system steel's forge casting commercial process, structure of the formed parts and their mechanical properties etc. Content as follows:(1) Taking study in steel-cast's forge casting, take the basement's direct forge casting and traverse plain double ear's indirect forge casting for example, compare the differences between direct forge casting and indirect forge casting in the following aspects, specific pressure ,casting temperature, mould temperature, dwelling time and extrusion speed.(2) Taking the study in steel-cast's forge casting mould project design, take the contact system steel-cast's direct forge casting and indirect forge casting mould project design for example, study the quality defect in the forge casting industrial process, conduct the quality control in steel-cast's forge casting production.(3) Taking the study in microstructure and mechanical property of the contact system's forge casting production. Through the microscopic testing, compare and study the production's structure pattern, grain size, crystal grain flaw and others; and through hardness testing, tension test, study the mechanical property in hardness, intensity and plasticity.(4) Taking the study in high chromium cast-iron's forge casting process. through the microscopic testing, study carbide's microstructure pattern, distribution and gathering. Conduct comparison with high chromium cast iron's metal mold casting process. Through hardness testing, impact testing, research the microstructure and mechanical property in high chromium cast iron's forge casting.Through a series of project and experiment, found the habit of cast steel's forge casting, as well as cast steel and high chromium cast iron's microstructure and mechanical property in forge casting process.
