With the development of woodworking numerical control machinery, the application of woodworking numerical control machinery is getting more and more widespread. The woodworking numerical control in general use promoted the wood products processing industries. However the researches on woodworking numerical control technology are very few.In order to guide the production of the numerical control woodworking, the research on the technology and the application of woodworking numerical control processing is imperative.This research based on the testing method. First, the cutting parameters design test was carried on. From analysis of test result, the law between cutting parameters and woodwork processing quality was summed up. And then the woodwork numerical control processing cutting parameters prediction model was established by neural network based on the test data. This model can predict the surface quality of the processed wood products.Comparative analysis of the simulation test results; RBF neural network gave the best prediction results. Finally, the woodwork numerical control processing cutting parameters optimization system was designed combination of the RBF neural network prediction model and the woodwork numerical control processing cutting parameters database.The innovation of this research subject is that the Taguchi method which is quality control theory is first used in the woodwork numerical control process. Through the woodwork cutting test, the law between cutting parameters and woodwork processing quality was summed up. Combination of neural network and database, the woodwork numerical control processing cutting parameters optimization system was established. This research is a useful attempt for the computer aided process planning (CAPP) study on the woodwork numerical control processing.
