With the widespread use of microprocessor control technology on industrial production, Precision Resistance welding Technology is also widely used in the manufacturing of battery and mobile communication devices. In the production of alkaline battery, negative electrode and current collector pin is connected by precision resistance welding into current collecting body. As a part of the battery conduct passage, the reliability of welding of negative electrode and current collector pin will direct affect the quality of battery. Therefore, it is necessary to design an economic welding machine of current collector body and inverter power supply.In this paper, we introduce the structure of current collector spot welding machine, and devote the mechanical structure, electrical control system and power controller structure of spot welding machine.Based on comparing the capabilities of different main circuits with each other, we choose the full-bridge configuration in this paper. We design a main circuit of the inverter power supply, and choose schottky diodes, IGBT, rectifier diodes, capacitors and other electronic components on basis of the designed parameters. Multisim software is used to simulate and analyze the circuit. The results demonstrate that the design can satisfy requirementsWe design the inverter power controller on basis of the full-bridge inverter circuit. The controlling kernel of this inverter power is microprocessor C8051F020, which of the integrated A/D can be used to acquire data of the welding current signal. Then, we implement the real-time data processing and displaying of welding parameters with the LCD, keyboard and other external modules. PWM signals of the inverter bridge are generated by SG3525A controller chips. IGBT driver module EXB841, which is producted by Fujitsu enterprise, is used at the part of the driver. Photoelectric isolation technique is used at the input and output of the driver module, which contains short-circuit protection. Therefore, it improves versatility of the driver board, and makes the design less complicated. Different interference suppression circuits are designed to against the different interference of the control system.We design control-flow chart of controller, and develop data acquistion program, keyboard and display program, as well as PI control program. Finally, we test the power controller program on our platform. The results of experiments prove that the inverter power controller runs well.
