Numerical control (NC) machine tool is on basic and kernel ground in modern manufacturing system(MMS).The key to approach continuous development is to accelerate and advance NC technique. With the fast development of embedded system and micro computer technology and integrate circuit, High performance 32-bits embedded CPU becomes more and more popular, With its high speed and low cost, this kind of micro processor can take place of PC platform and 8-bits CPU in mid and low market, in which price and technology are very critical, With such a background, this thesis presents a deep research on Embedded NC system.This paper put forward NC system based on ARM Processor. It presents the hardware design and the software procedure thoughts. The hardware platform select NOVA Electron Corp. DSP dynamics control special-purpose chip MCX314AL as NC motor driver. MCX314AL brings dynamics control great convenience because of its choice performance, simple interface, convenient programming and reliable work. ARM STR710 is adopted to manage MCX314AL , Peripheral logical circuit and background task. The uC/OS-II is used to provide real time operating system as the software platform and its source code is open. The software module is divided to several tasks. According to the request for real time, they are endued with different priorities. The way of intertask communication and interrupt response are designed. The uC/OS-II supports preemptive priority scheduling which makes the system real-time and stable. It can meet the demands of high precision processing. At the same time, it also has good user-inter-face and network support.
