Therefore, to definite its concept and content operationally, to improvement and optimization of evaluation methods and indicators in specific areas, have a guiding role in improving the urban ecological health assessment system as well as regulation.The ecosystem of the Area Surrounding the Taihu Lake has the dual property and geographical typical, its ecological health problems particularly noteworthy. The evaluation methods of ecological health in cities and towns around Taihu Lake, based on the ecological footprint and ecological risk assessment methods, need to inject "water network" this important element, use for reference from the Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) which called"Layer-cake". make the ecological health of urban water network more accurate, intuitive and easy use of the performance, to build the water network in the urban ecological health assessment practices. Identify evaluation index system, the city will be divided into three junior level:material composition, the soft environment for urban and city dwellers, against the redundant shortcomings of existing system of indicators which has weak directivity and too complicated, increase the indicators which plays a major role in urban ecological health in the water network area, such as water basin network connectivity, water and other ecosystem services network, to more clearly reflect the city's water network ecological state.About the regulation and control of urban ecological health in the water network area, the original theory is lake of guiding role in practice, its regulation and control means more biased in changes in material space but missing the urban residents psychological concerns. this study according to the lakes above, use the macro-ecological modernization strategy, through environmental management, modern technology and the market mechanism means, to formulate the corresponding indicators developed the corresponding control measures.
