As a high-efficient removal technology, granular layer filter is able to bear the high temperature, the high pressure and own the simple structure, considered to be one of the greatest potential hot dust removal at present .While traditional granular filtration with greater pressure loss had lower efficiency to removal fine dust and unable to deal with big enough air volume .On the basis of analyzing each characteristic of domestic and international dry and wet removal technology ,this paper developed a high-efficient wet granular layer filter.According to the law of conservation of mass ,based on the traditional dry fixed granular layer filter, Its theory of filtering proportions were studied and a fixed particle removal efficiency model was established. Meanwhile, Formulas of dust concentration in airflows, variation of dust deposit density and dust removal efficiency of the fixed granular bed was deduced.The feasibility on a new-type wet granular layer filter in improving fine dust removal efficiency was analyzed from filtering mechanism of granular layer. Combining the merits of traditional granular layer and wet removal, a new-type wet granular layer filter experimental device was designed and established. Then the experiment was operated In different filtration velocity, bed height and the water volume .The results showed the effect of filtering parameters upon the dust-removing efficiency and the pressure loss. Based on the experimental results, the optimal fountain ,filter layer height and filtering wind speed were confirmed under the present experimental conditions.Traditional granular layer removal experiment was operated compared to the new-type wet granular layer filter. The results showed that the average removal efficiency of the wet granular layer filter was higher than that of dry granular; While in the same layer heights of filtration and wind speeds, The pressure of the former was lower than that of the latter.The study indicated that the new-type wet granular layer filter was a high-efficient dust removal device with lower pressure loss.
