The cooling system of explosion-proof motor with the power of 40kW,which is used for coal cutting machine,is designed and researched in this dissertation. The volume of motor is limited because of the restriction of operating space.The design of cooling system is very important in order to ensure the operation reliability and the method of water cooling outside the stator is adopted in the paper to improve the cooling effect.In this dissertation,the flume used for cooling is designed and the electromagnetic loss is calculated.What is more, methods of flume descaling are discussed in detail.Firstly,the principle of electromagnetic loss is discussed and then calculated according to electromagnetic theory and related research results.Secondly,the Sshaped flume structure which is embedded in motor shell is suggested and the cooling flume system is designed according to the motor structure and running performance.Thirdly,the fluid,the thermal force of the cooling flume is checked numerically.Finally,the reasons of scaling are analyzed and the prevention methods are studied in order to ensure the reliability of cooling system.Every step is carried out according to the related theory.The calculation of the electromagnetic loss provides data for that of thermal force and the computation of fluid and thermal force is used to check the rationality of cooling system structure.The descaling study is to ensure the operation reliability of cooling system.The design of the cooling system structure is reasonable according to operation result in the practice.
