With the continuous and rapid development of the urban rail transit, noise pollution caused has been coming outstanding problem for the urban environment. It is significant to assay and evaluate the impact the noise pollution caused by urban rail transit as well as to research the solution.This thesis takes the noise caused by urban rail transit as subject, focusing on the way preventing and abating it by analyzing the domestic and international method of noise evaluating, predicting and controlling, which can be referred by the relevant researcher and professional.Firstly, according to literature in point, learn about noise assessing criterion and range, describing individual noise indices and their calculating method. Then, the sources of the urban rail transit producing noise are analyzed, and the factors taking into account when predicting noise. Based on the research achievements of foreign countries and the practical status of running noise of Chinese urban traffic railway, an improved calculation model is set up by using theoretical analyses and practical data from direct measurement. For the purpose of the advantage of practical application of environmental evaluation, various prediction parameters are given in this article.The control of noise is possible at three different stages of its transmission: reduce the sound produced, interrupt the path of the sound, and protect the recipient. According to their characteristics and transmitting regularities, relevant attenuating measures are suggested from the three aspects, especially using noise barrier. Finally, taking Beijing Urban Railway as an instance, prediction method of this thesis is applied, and contrasted with actually used method. According to the actual measure result, this method is feasible. The method can become reference that this thesis put forward for noise evaluation and prediction, to noise control of Chinese urban traffic railway.
