Development and utilization of trona resources has more unique advantages than traditional industrial soda manufacturing process. However the natural organics matter (NOM) in crude alkaline have a bad effect on the operation and the quality of production. The crude alkaline brine and waste water were analysed and removal experiments of the NOMs were investigated in this paper. Firstly a dilute solution was prepared which contained tetrahydrofuran, toluene, 2-methyl-furan, 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol. Static adsorption experiments on single component which used powdered activated carbon (PAC) as adsorbent and dynamic adsorption experiments on toluene which used granular activated carbon (GAC) and D4006, X-5 macroporous resin as adsorbents were studied. Isotherm formulas and adsorption kinetics equations were established. Then coagulation and adsorption experiments on crude alkaline brine and waste water were researched and the feasible conditions were determined. The adsorption experiment on four NOMs in the crude alkaline brine using PAC as showed that the equilibrium adsorption capacity of tetrahydrofuran, toluene, 2-methyl-furan, 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol were 230mg/gPAC, 136mg/gPAC, 81mg /gPAC, 6mg/gPAC respectively. The adsorption isotherms of the four NOMs were in accordance with Freundlich adsorption equation. At temperature 20℃, the adsorption isotherm equations of tetrahydrofuran was, the adsorption isotherm equations of toluene was, the adsorption isotherm equations of 2-methyl-furan was and the adsorption isotherm equations of 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol was. So toluene was easier for adsorption and 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol was the harder one. 0.9310.935eqC=536.059.25Cqe=53.026.14Cqe=503.1035.0Cqe=The dynamic processes of toluene using GAC and D4006, X-5 macroporous resin were studied. When velocity of toluene was 3ml/min, the adsorption rate constant of GAC, D4006 and X-5 were , , , So the dynamic adsorption process of GAC was the fastest. 1110138.0???=hmmolk 0121.0 112???=hmmolk1130125.0???=hmmolkRemoval experiments of NOM on the crude alkaline brine were investigated on the base of the single component experiment. The removal of CODcr of crude alkaline brine was 39% when dosage of PAC used in the factory was 900mg/L and the time of adsorption was 60min. The coagulation results of waste water showed that [Al(Cl3)]n was the best coagulant. When the dosage of [Al(Cl)3]n was 15mg/L, high mixing speed was 300r/min and low mixing speed was 100r/min, GT was 6042 and 11910 at hight mixing speed and low mixing speed separately, the effect of coagulation was best. The removal of CODcr of waste water can reach 45% under the condition.
