The production process of cold-rolled sheet is a high value-added and high-tech industry.Being the main tool in cold rolling,the roll shoud innovated and the roll worn need studied.Promoting the roll is the key to the development of cold-rolled technology.The existing tandem cold rolling mills in China are most bought from abroad, and the mathematical control model of roll wear has been introduced decades ago from overseas,so we don't have our own intellectual property.With the development of cold rolling technology and the improving of rolling technical parameters,the High-chromium Forged cold roll which is used widely in domestic can not satisfies the requirements of the rolling process.So the development of cold roll is an urgent task.A foreign research shows that adding a small amount of titanium in the traditional high-chromium Forged cold Roll can improve its wear properties and prolong its service life in triple.At present,high-chromium forged cold rolls in China have achieved the production of autonomy.Comparing with other rolls,generalizing such a Ti enhanced forged cold rolls has lots of advantages such as the transformation and promotion rate.As related,generalizing this roll in cold Rolling Mills conforms to China's conditions.In this article,we study the cold roll's wear behavior by the cold roll wear simulation experiment on the wear tester type MMS-2b.Under different process conditions,we performed multiple groups of wear tests according to the traditional high-chromium forged cold roll and the new Ti enhanced forged cold roll respectively, the experimental results indicate that:①Effect of external factors are significant and different process parameters influence roll wear in different ways;②The new Roll which can adapt to a higher rolling force and faster rolling speed is superior to the traditional roll in wear properties;③Under some process conditions,a new improved roughness profile can be continuously generated on the new Ti enhanced roll surface while rolling;④The running-in of the new Ti enhanced roll is difficult than the traditional roll,so we should develop a suitable running-in indexes.In this article,we also completed the contrast test of the two rolls which performance on continuous wear process,this experiments show that:①A simple mathematical model of the roll wear;②The wear regularity and mechanism at different periods in the experiments;③Better lubrication can reduce the roll wear;④Under boundary lubrication,the surface quality of steel plate is the best.With the roll wearing,the lubrication between the roll and the plate transit from boundary lubrication and mixed lubrication to fluid lubrication;⑤Under lubrication,a new improved roughness profile also can be continuously generated on the new Ti enhanced roll surface while rolling.This essay combined with production practice and studies the cold roll wear regularity and mechanism deeply and systematically.In some aspect such as adjust production process parameters,improve mathematical control model,generalize new cold roll,improve the surface quality of steel plate,reduce production costs,our study has important theory meaning and application value.
