As one of the major packaging container in drink liquid, beverage can has a long development history. With advances in technology and intensified competition, its production process has improved. To further reduce production costs, increase market competitiveness, at present design requirements of beverage can to meet the premise requirements such as basic capacity, pressure, strength and stability etc, as much as possible to reduce the production material consumption. So we need have a full understanding of beverage can in forming ability, forming process, and to develope a beverage can containers with thinner thickness, higher intensity.This issue study the drawing forming process of beverage can with axisymmetric model through numerical simulation, analyze process characteristics and the flow of materials. To meet the strength, stiffness and stability of the requirements of the case, the structure of the cans body has been optimized design.On the computer numerical simulation of beverage can drawing process, we can analyze a beverage can production process, optimize the die parameters and process design, forecast for the production process of all sorts of possible defects. Based on the results of the simulation to improve die structure and process parameters approach, not only can optimize process parameters, but also to optimize the size of blank. Thus the development costs of die can be reduced, shorten the time of die manufacturing, improve product yield and materials utilization. Ultimately achieve the purpose of reducing the cost of production.
