In this paper,polyamidoamine(PAMAM) have been synthesized by divergent with ethylenediamine as core. The result demonstrates that the structures of the synthesized dendrimers accord with theoretical structures by infrared spectrum(IR). The thermal stability of semi-generation PAMAM increases with generation and whole-generation PAMAM has nothing to do with generation by thermal analysis. The PAMAM aqueous solution physical quantities of such as surface tension , electrical conductivity , critical micelle concentration(CMC),HLB value and Zeta value are studied. The fact indicates that the electrical conductivity increases with generation and concentration,the electrical conductivity of the whole-generation PAMAM is more than the adjacent semi-generation PAMAM at the same concentration. The semi-generation PAMAM has a surface activity, that the surface tension increases with concentration and has critical micelle concentration,the whole- generation PAMAM has terminal group of amino and a strong hydrophilic, the surface tension has no change.The HLB value of semi-generation increases with generation. The demulsifying capability of PAMAM for the Gudao 2# crude oil and its components simulated emulsion(W/O) was evaluated. The demulsifying capability increases with generation.PAMAM quaternary ammonium salts have been synthesized by two methods. The molecular structures of the product have been characterized by infrared spectrum(IR). The thermal stability of the two kinds of PAMAM quaternary ammonium salts have no relationship with generation by thermal analysis. The PAMAM quaternary ammonium salts aqueous solution physical quantities of such as electrical conductivity, surface tension and Zeta potential were measured. The results show,electrical conductivity increases with generation. The surface tension of first amination then quaternization PAMAM quaternary ammonium salt aqueous solution first increases then decreases with concentration .and the another decreases. Zeta potential of their aqueous solution is positive. The PAMAM quaternary ammonium salts of oil wastewater(O/W)treatment effect are detaily studied at different temperature,concentration, pH value and timing.Adding 50mg·dm-3 and pH=7.0,PAMAM quaternary is the best sewage treatment, the absorbance of sewage falls from 2.293 to 0.921.
