Pneumatic conveying and dust collection system is the indispensable equipment in modern wood processing enterprises. As the improvement of wood processing techniques and the requirements of environment protection, it has become more and more prominent.The inspection and evaluation system of pneumatic conveying and dust collection works in wood industry has not had uniform criteria because of the lack of researches on it. When inspecting these works, most enterprises only test the dust concentration of vent gas emission without others quality indexes. It results in that the quality of projects can't be supervised and ensured, and there is not evindence for arbitration when the project has problems.Through referring to the domestic and foreign literatures, and investigating domestic wood processing enterprises, and consulting the specialists and designers in domestic pneumatic conveying and dust collection in wood industry, and learning about the products of domestic primary dust collector manufactures in wood industry, this paper overviews the status quo of domestic and foreign pneumatic conveying and dust collection system in wood industry.In this paper, the main contents and conclusions are as follows:⑴The inspection and evaluation system of pneumatic conveying and dust collection works is firstly researched from the indexe and system respects and the organizing program of inspection and evaluation of pneumatic conveying and dust collection is designed. This made the inspection and evaluation successfully complet.Firstly from designing, producing and assembling, test running and other aspects, and mutual relations of duct system and fan system and dust collector syetem, the pneumatic conveying and dust collection system was inspected and evaluated fully.⑵By comparison with the measure methods of air leak amount, the method that the air leak amount is measured from velocity is more scientific.⑶The static pressure values and the static pressure efficiency should be taken into account in the selection of negative pressure fan, and the full pressure values and the full pressure efficiency should be taken into account in the selection of positive pressure fans. The variable-speed control is the most energy-saving in several adjustment ways. The high-power fan should adopt variable-speed regulator and the low-power fan power had better adopt throttle regulation or fluid director.⑷Through investigations, it is found that the velocity of vent gas emission doesn't reach the standard in more than 90 percent of pneumatic conveying and dust collection works, and is much higher than the regulation of national air pollution emitting norms.The exhaustpipe of the reasonable height should be adopted in the pneumatic conveying and dust collection works. With optiflow system and frequency converter, vacuum filter applied in large or huge wood plants is better. When its vent gas returns back to workshop, the filter had better adopt membrane filter material.
