Because of excellent properties such as good resistance to elevated temperature, oxidation and corrosion resistance of Nickel and Ni-based alloys, they have been widely used in automobile parts,chemical commercial units and electronic products. As the fast development of aviation,automobile,electron, Nickel and Ni-based alloys have been used in products including spare parts for particular application,instrument manufacture,machine manufacture,rocket technique equipment and so on. Ni is regard as important strategic material so its effective exploitation and comprehensive utilization is attached importance to by many countries. At present, the requirement for Nickel and Ni-based alloys is more and more strict, not only qualified chemical constitution and service performance are required, but also qualified inner and surface qualities are demanded. But currently, there is few study reports about produce processing,structure and performance of pure Ni, so there is practical meaning to bring forward this problem.This paper introduces basic theories and related reports about pure Ni, researching structure and performance produced by two different ways, analyzing the superficial quality of pure Ni at the same time.After analysis, surface defects in surface of pure Ni N6 wire is crack, plenty of hard nonmetallic inclusions, which exists in interior and surface of rods, during the procedure of after rolling and dragging, the deforming value of nonmetallic inclusions is smaller than substrate, causing stress concentration lies in interface between nonmetallic inclusions and substrate, so inducing the generation of tiny crack. These nonmetallic inclusions is composite, mainly consists of Si,Al,C,O and Ca elements and so on, aluminum oxide silicate, calcium aluminates and calcium silicate.For two different process, the results show that for the first process, the cooling of molten steel is hydrocooling in crystallizer and electromagnetic stirring is adopted and thus accelerating refinement of crystal grain. Owing to a amount of non-mental impurities exists in the production of wire stock of pure Ni, the superficial quality of wire stock is strongly affected. The strip appears not only on the surface of production, but also on the surface ofΦ8.0 bars.
