Gas explosion is the most severe disaster which can cause major accidents in coal mineproduction, and it has become the bottleneck restricting mine safety. The pipe of square shapewasappliedtostudytheeffectonthepropagationofgasexplosioncausedbydifferentvolumeandconcetration of gas. Based on adiabatic model and isothermal model. On the basis of experimentand theory anylasis, appropriate physical and mathematic nodel was built, and the CFD softwareof Fluent was used to simulate the propagation of gas explosion. Combined with the environmentin coal mine, the models of corner, branch and variable cross-section of tunnel were simplified,and the effects on the propagation of gas explosion caused by the complex tunnel system werestudied. The data anylasis of study shows that, the simulation which is based on experiment inpipe (or tunnel), can reflect the propagation properties of gas explosion. It is hoped that theresearch results can provide certain reference to gas explosion propagation, accident preventionandconsequenceanalysisincurrentcoalmine.
