Our country is a big producer of coals and the annual production is the first in the world. However, the secure producing situation of the coal mine is very grim (for example the fires in coal mine, gas explosion), which would result in a large quantity of casualties and property losses, and has absorbed high attention of the government. To guarantee the safety of the staff in the coal mine, it is need to instruct about mine safety and train about life-saving for them. For some accidents occurring in coal mine, it is impossible to train or verify in actual dangerous environment for people, therefore a system which can simulate real environment is needed to help people experience the environment. Developing virtual reality provides people who take on safe research with a very good tool.The thesis is on the basis of gaseous explosion theory in tubular space, analysis propagation law of gas explosion in mine roadways. Firstly, on the basis of studying physical mechanism of gas explosion in the mine, the physical model of the gas explosion propagation in the mine is built up. Secondly, the mathematical model is made by analyzing the process of gas explosion propagation in the mine roadways. Nonlinear partial differential equation established is solved by computer using the finite difference method, consequently the numerical account is built for the process of the gas explosion propagation. Finally, on the base of the result of numerical account for the process of the gas explosion propagation, the visual simulation is made for the phenomenon of the gas explosion using particle system.The gas explosion is simulated by using the particle system in the thesis, which has important meaning for in-depth research of the gas explosion in the coal mine and preventing the accident of the gas explosion taking place and furthering safe production in the coal mine.
