Inorganic nano-filler is the most common additive used in plastic which can not only improve the performance of conventional filler, but also increase the special physical and chemical properties due to the nanometer effect. Because the particle of pigment can easily agglomerate the large particle which affect the quality of color masterbatch, the dispersion treatment is necessary. The main content of this thesis is the effect of nano-calcium carbonate and nano-barium sulfate to the coloration effect and dispersion of pigment in plastic product. The optimum quantity of inorganic nano-filler was found through the test of transmission, covering power, reflectivity, L*a*b* value and the comparison between coloration effect and substitution amount of pigment. The result showed that the dispersion, the tinting strength of pigment and the covering power of the film was improved by the addition of inorganic nano-filler. The production cost was reduced also.By substitute nano-calcium carbonate for 10wt% of red pigment P.R.48:2, the covering power of film and tinting strength of pigment was improved and the appearance of product changed better. The modified effect of nano-barium sulfate for different pigment was varied. Blue pigment P.B.15:3 is the best one which can be substituted 20~30 wt%, but the covering power got lower than the film which was substituted 10 wt% of pigment by nano-barium sulfate. Through experiments, the result also indicated that the modified effect of nano-barium sulfate for green pigment P.G7 was better than nano-calcium carbonate, the optimum substitute amount was 10~20wt%.The dispersion of yellow pigment P.Y.180 was improved after surface treatment by silicate coupling agent and nano-calcium carbonate through chemical method. The treatment effect was better than blending. The best dosage of nano-calcium carbonate was 20 wt%, and all the performance indexes were optimal.
